Abstract
Background and aims: This study aimed to assess the effect of the Family-Centered Empowerment Model on the self-efficacy and health literacy of Iranian menopausal women.
Methods: This randomized controlled trial (RCT) was carried out on 80 menopausal women aged 40–59 years. The participants were divided randomly into an intervention group (n=40) and a control group (n=40).
Results: The results showed that the design and implementation of a Family-Centered Empowerment Model can enhance the health literacy and self-efficacy of menopausal women.
Conclusion: Family-Centered Empowerment Model for health literacy and self-efficacy can be crucial in managing menopausal symptoms. Therefore, authorities should consider this model as a strategy for enhancing quality of life and health of menopausal women.
